The companionship and emotional benefits of pet ownership are recognised at Wallacea Living and well-behaved pets are welcome in our community.
These guidelines are for Owners of household pets. They also apply to recognised assistance animals, unless there are stated exceptions. Please refer to your Lease agreement before introducing a new pet.
- Pets must not pose a risk, cause harm, or become a nuisance to others.
- On rare occasions, unforeseen incidents may occur and pet owners must take prompt action to remedy the situation.
- Owners are responsible for making sure anyone walking their dog or visiting with them understands and upholds these standards.
- Any issues between pet owners should first be addressed directly between those involved.
- If a resolution cannot be reached, management should be contacted for further assistance.
- Dogs must be kept on a short, non-extendable lead and under complete control at all times when on the premises and in communal areas.
- Owners must ensure their dogs remain on their own balcony or patio and do not disturb neighbours by excessive barking, including when indoors.
- All Owners and visitors must promptly clean up after their dogs and dispose of waste in the bins provided.
- Dogs are not permitted in the restaurant, except if the dog is a recognised assistance dog. However, they are allowed in the orangery.
- Dogs are permitted in the library and bar area.
- Cats—While it is understood that cats may roam more freely, if a cat is known to have caused damage or nuisance in communal areas or another Owner’s balcony or patio, the Owner must take corrective action as soon as possible.
