In less than a year, we’ll be welcoming our first homeowners to their new apartments at Wallacea Living, Marylebone. As we gear up to this exciting milestone, we look ahead to what will be happening over the upcoming months.
March
This month will see the finalisation of our ‘benchmark unit’. This is the first apartment that will be completed and a key milestone in our quality assurance process. Our site teams will make sure that all building work has been completed to the highest standard, from the kitchen installation to joinery and painting. We will inspect the apartments with a fine-tooth comb to make sure they are ready for our customers. This level of build quality will then be mirrored across all other apartments in the building. This phase marks the countdown to us welcoming our first homeowners!
May
Book your place to be the first to see our brand-new show apartment! Opening early-May, our new two-bedroom show apartment will give visitors the opportunity to see another of our floorplans and imagine what it could be like living at Wallacea Living, Marylebone. Designed by world-renowned interior designer, Sue Timney, the apartment will showcase top tips for downsizing in style. During May, we’ll also be moving forward with our amenity spaces. Our library, bar and function room will be completed to ‘white box’ stage, meaning the fit-out process can begin!
June
We’ll be welcoming our new General Manager to the team. Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations at Wallacea Living, Marylebone, they will be a familiar face for our new homeowners and an integral member of the team at Wallacea Living, Marylebone. We know they can’t wait to get started!
July
In June, we’ll be ready to reveal the first photos of our bar installation in our restaurant – watch this space as we gear up to some exciting restaurant announcements coming your way!
August
Following over two years of construction activity, the façade of our building will be complete. Inspired by the architectural vernacular of the nearby mansion blocks, it seamlessly blends traditional craftsmanship with contemporary architecture. Look closely at the balconies and building ornamentation and you’ll notice that they reflect the interior designs within St Mary’s Church on nearby Paddington Green.
Inside the building, the lifts will be functioning and we’ll be completing the fit-out of our communal spaces, including our restaurant, library, bar, private cinema and gym. From this point, the interior styling will begin.
To round off a busy month, we’ll finish August by appointing the final members of our Wallacea Living team.
September
Grab your popcorn! During September, we will be installing the screen for our boutique cinema. We’ll also be completing our sauna and spa.
October
It’s time for the styling! During this stage, the furniture and equipment will be brought into our communal spaces, helping to bring these spaces to life. Each space has been carefully curated by our interior design team, who will be coordinating the decorating and styling to ensure their visions are brought to life. One moment that we are all looking forward to is the installation of our beautiful, bespoke mural, created by local artist Paul Wearing, in our onsite restaurant. It’s a wonderful visual interpretation of what life at Wallacea Living will be like.
With our official opening less than three months away, all the staff at Wallacea Living will be undergoing intense training to make sure the service we provide is second to none. This training will cover everything; from the technology that will be available to homeowners to ensure a proactive approach to their health and wellbeing, to maintenance and customer service. Our restaurant teams will also be firing up the kitchen equipment for the first time!
Don’t forget that our on-site care team will be fully trained to the care certificate standards, to ensure they can support with any health issues if needed.
Finally, October will mark the completion of the landscaping in our private garden. All the mature trees will be planted, and the hard landscaping will be ready for you to see. All that will be left to do is plant some bulbs ready for those beautiful spring flowers to add some more colour.
November
In November, we’ll be hard at work testing the food and wine that will be served in the restaurant - it’s a hard job but someone’s got to do it! We’ll also be making sure that all other areas of our amenity spaces are working correctly.
December
December will see the completion of all our styling in the communal areas. With everything now ready and in place for our homeowners to move in, all that’s left to do is make sure it looks perfect! Throughout the winter, we will be cleaning the communal spaces and adding those all-important finishing touches to make sure it meets the exceptionally high standards that we have set ourselves.
January 2026
The time we’ve all been waiting for. In early January, we will be officially opening the doors to Wallacea Living, Marylebone and welcoming our first homeowners. We cannot wait!
