WALLACEA LIVING’S CREATIVE DIRECTOR TO APPEAR ON POPULAR BBC INTERIORS SHOW

WALLACEA LIVING

Wallacea Living’s Creative Director and renowned interior designer, Sue Timney, is set to appear as a guest judge on BBC One’s Interior Design Masters with Alan Carr.

Sue will join head judge, Michelle Ogundehin, in Royal Haslar, Gosport, to judge later living apartments designed by the amateur designers taking part in this year’s show. Sue is appearing on episode 3 which is due to go live on 24th April at 8pm, on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

Sue Timney, Creative Director at Integrated Retirement Community (IRC) operator, Wallacea Living, said: “It’s great to see such a popular TV show addressing later living. Rather than picturing bland and often clinical spaces, we must start changing people’s perceptions of what retirement communities can, and should, look like. There’s no reason why our retirement years shouldn’t represent a vibrant and exciting chapter of our lives, and our homes need to reflect this.

“I’m very excited to be part of this episode and to get people talking about how they would want their own homes to function in later life.”

Sue has been integral to the design of Wallacea Living’s multiple show apartments, marketing suite and communal spaces, winning numerous awards for her stand-out design and commitment to creating bold, well-thought-out spaces that help to promote the wellbeing of homeowners.

She has over 30 years’ experience in creating interior projects, having worked across the UK, Europe and Japan. Sue was made a Visiting Professor and Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Art in 2007 and also holds the Textile Institute’s Design Medal, and was nominated for the Prince Philip Designer's Prize by the Royal College of Art. From 2012 - 2014 Sue was President of the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID) and is currently a Trustee of the Laura Ashley Foundation.

The UK’s newest integrated retirement community operator, Wallacea Living will be welcoming the first homeowners to its debut community in Marylebone in January 2026. In addition to luxury one- and two-bedroom apartments, and a small collection of penthouses, the over 65s community will offer a range of enviable facilities - from a boutique cinema to a restaurant, library bar, state-of-the-art gym and swimming pool, and an exciting events programme. Taking a proactive approach to health and wellbeing, all homeowners will also benefit from regular health checks, and bespoke nutrition plans.

Sue will be revealing her latest show apartment at Wallacea Living, Marylebone, in May.

Wallacea Living’s first site is set to open in spring 2026 and has already received multiple prestigious awards. In January, it was recognised as the Best Senior Living Development in London and the United Kingdom at the UK Property Awards. Following that, in February, it was honoured with the titles of Best Senior Living Development in Europe and Best International Senior Living Development at the International Property Awards.
