Wallacea Living is now an ARCO approved operator, making it's official position as a trusted advisor name in retirement communities.
Integrated Retirement Community (IRC) operator Wallacea Living has reached a key milestone ahead of an early 2026 Marylebone launch, securing ARCO (The Associated Retirement Community Operators) Approved Operator status. Sally Ireland, Director of Legal and Compliance at ARCO, noted, “It is the first time that we will be recommending an operator whose first scheme is not yet open,” marking a major step in Wallacea Living’s commitment to the highest industry standards.
ARCO is the main body representing the UK’s Integrated Retirement Community sector. The news follows a rigorous and independent assessment that concludes that Wallacea Living has, months prior to opening, met all requirements of the ARCO Consumer Code, a comprehensive set of standards designed to ensure transparency, fairness, and best practice in the operation of retirement communities.
The ARCO Consumer Code covers every aspect of a customer’s journey, from marketing and sales through to ongoing operations, including complaints handling, resident satisfaction, and staff training. Passing the assessment means Wallacea Living has demonstrated that is has all the systems, facilities, service, processes and safeguarding in place to deliver the highest level of service and transparency to welcome incoming owners.

This recognition, following a rigorous assessment process, means that all ARCO Approved Operators, including Wallacea Living, can display the CTSI Approved Code logo alongside the ARCO mark and are listed in the CTSI Code Directory. For prospective residents and their families, it provides the highest level of reassurance: that Wallacea Living operates to standards independently verified not only by ARCO, but by the UK’s national body for trading standards.
