Night Carer.

Key Responsibilities:

​

Care and Wellbeing Support

‍

  • Deliver high quality, person-centred care in line with each service users individual plan. This may include support with personal care, mobility, meals, hydration, medication, and continence care.

​

  • Encourage independence in all daily activities, supporting owners with confidence and dignity.

Household and Community Duties

  • Provide companionship and emotional support, helping to reduce loneliness and promote wellbeing.
  • Support with housekeeping tasks such as cooking, laundry, cleaning, and maintaining a safe, comfortable home environment.
  • Assist with hospital discharge and home from hospital support, ensuring continuity of care.

  • Liaise sensitively with families and representatives where appropriate.

Safety and Security

  • Conduct security checks and monitor CCTV, ensuring the community is safe and secure.

Teamwork and Communication

  • Work closely with fellow Carers, the Registered Care Manager, and Resource planner to ensure seamless delivery of care and wellbeing services.
  • Assist owners with medical appointments, collecting prescriptions, and managing day to day errands.

​

  • Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and presentation of communal areas across the community.

Professional Standards

  • Promote and protect each owner’s right to dignity, privacy, and choice.

About You:

​

​Qualifications & Training:

  • Respond promptly to emergencies, including fire alarms and emergency alarms, acting in line with Wallacea Living policies.
  • ​Qualified to or a commitment to work towards the qualification and credit framework (QCF) Level 2
  • Support co-workers during emergencies, either together or independently if required.

About Wallacea Living:

  • Carry out pool checks and maintenance logs, ensuring leisure facilities remain safe and compliant. (if applicable). Training will be provided

  • Commitment to continually update knowledge and personal development

  • Acts as a role model through impeccable owner and team members service
  • Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively along with being adaptable where needed to meet different customer requirements
  • Support front-of-house operations, including reception cover, managing calls, and assisting with enquiries in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, health and safety and data protection laws to protect customers
  • Record and hand over accurate information for day teams, ensuring clear communication and continuity of care.
  • Understanding professional boundaries of both owners and co-workers
  • Complete daily reports, briefs, and records in line with GDPR and Wallacea Living policies.
  • Personal presentation and hygiene should be to a high standard including cleanliness of uniform provided and ensuring jewellery, nails and hair are in line with company policy
  • Good knowledge of the local area
  • Ability to accurately complete electronic daily logs to reflect the care plans and follow any medication instructions
  • Use of company mobile and use of an app to manage schedules and keep in contact with the care team

  • Good level of written and oral English

  • Comply fully with safeguarding policies and uphold Wallacea Living’s behaviours
  • Take responsibility for upholding health and safety standards at all times.

  • Attend all required training to continually improve knowledge and maintain professional competence.
